It's been a little more than two week's since Donna's show came down at Cade Tompkins Project in Providence. I contacted Cade last spring and asked her if she would represent Donna's estate. She readily agreed and suggested a show for September. It was exactly what I was hoping for. To me the best way to honor Donna's memory publicly would be to celebrate her work. The show went up on the anniversary of her passing. The opening was in the first week of October and was well attended by friends, colleagues and admirer's of her work. While I had feared that it might prove to be a sad occasion, it was anything but. I couldn't have been more thrilled. To be in this lovely space, surrounded by her work and the love of those who loved her meant so very much to me - I know that she would have been both pleased and proud.
